# Stream to Facebook, Kick, X, TikTok and other RTMP platforms

> Add Facebook, Kick, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram or any custom RTMP server as a Streamloop destination: where to find each stream key and what to watch out for.

Any platform that accepts an **RTMP** (or encrypted **RTMPS**) stream works with Streamloop. RTMP is
the standard way streaming tools send live video. The platform gives you two things:

* a **server URL** (it starts with `rtmp://` or `rtmps://`), and
* a **stream key**, a password that lets a streaming tool send video to your account.

## Add the destination

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the destination picker">
    In your loop's **General** tab, click **Connect a destination** (or **Add destination** if your
    loop has a destination list).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the platform">
    Pick the platform from the list, or **Custom RTMP** for anything else. For Facebook, X and Kick,
    Streamloop fills in the **RTMP URL** for you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste the key">
    Paste the **Stream key** (and the **RTMP URL** if it's empty), give the destination a
    **Display name**, and click **Save destination**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  If a platform gives you one long URL that ends in the key, split it: everything up to the last
  `/` is the RTMP URL, and the last part is the stream key.
</Tip>

## Where each platform shows its key

| Platform | Where to find the URL and key | Watch out for |
| - | - | - |
| **Facebook** | Live Producer → pick the page or profile → Streaming software → Stream key | Keys are single-use by default. Turn on the persistent stream key, or the destination stops working after the first broadcast. |
| **Kick** | Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream Key | |
| **X** | Media Studio → Producer → Sources | A key tied to one broadcast ends with it. Use a persistent source if your account has one. |
| **TikTok** | LIVE Studio, or Go LIVE with third-party streaming enabled | The URL and key change for every LIVE session, so a long-running loop needs a new key each time. Third-party streaming isn't available on every account. |
| **LinkedIn** | Create a live event with a third-party encoder. The URL and key appear shortly before it starts. | The key expires with the event. |
| **Telegram** | In the channel or group, start a live stream and choose **Stream with** | Telegram issues a new key each time the video chat is recreated. |
| **Anything else** | Look for "stream with your own software" or "OBS settings" | |

For Twitch, see [Twitch](/docs/platform/twitch). For YouTube, see [YouTube](/docs/platform/youtube).

<Note>
  For a 24/7 loop, always use a **persistent** key where the platform offers one. A key that belongs
  to a single broadcast or session stops working when that broadcast ends.
</Note>

## Good to know

* **Video only.** Streamloop sends the video and sound. Titles, comments and audience settings stay
  on the platform.
* **Quality.** YouTube accepts the widest range of video formats. For other platforms, Streamloop
  sends a widely supported format and keeps within each platform's limits, so you don't need to set
  a bitrate.
* **Several platforms at once.** Add up to 5 destinations to one loop with
  [multistream](/docs/platform/multistream).
* Stream keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again after you save them.
