A 24/7 music or lofi channel is one of the most popular things to run on Streamloop. The recipe is simple: loop a background video and play a separate audio playlist over it. Because the audio is independent from the video, you can keep one calm visual on screen while a long list of tracks plays on rotation.

What you’ll need

  • A background video to loop — a calm scene, an animation, or any clip that looks fine on repeat.
  • Your audio tracks — the music or ambience your channel plays.

Build the channel

1

Create a loop and add your background video

Create a loop, open the Playlist tab, and on the Video tab add your background clip. A single looping video is all you need on screen — see Build and schedule your playlist.
2

Add your audio playlist

Switch to the Audio tab and upload your tracks (MP3, WAV, FLAC, or AAC). They play over the video instead of its original sound. Set Loop behavior to Shuffle for variety, or In order for a set rotation.
3

Pick a budget-friendly quality

A static visual doesn’t need a high frame rate. Choosing 720p at 24fps keeps a 24/7 channel at roughly $4/month — see Billing for the full breakdown.
4

Choose a destination and go live

Connect YouTube or another destination, then start the stream — or schedule it to go live later.

Keep it fresh

You can add new tracks without taking the channel offline. Add them to the Audio playlist while the stream is live, then click Publish — the rotation updates without a restart.
