Scenes are in private beta. Access is by invitation: when you create a loop, choose Request
early access under Scene and tell us what you’ll build. Our team reviews every request within
24 hours. Once you’re approved, Scene shows up as a loop type.
Video loop or scene loop?
Both stream 24/7 from the cloud, manage your YouTube channel, run on start and stop schedules, and
can use a backup stream. Webcam guests are coming soon.
Scenes and frames
A scene is what you build and publish. It holds one or more frames, such as “Starting soon”, “Interview” and “Be right back”. One frame is on air at a time. You cut between them from the Live panel, or the show’s script does it for you on a schedule or when data changes. The words you’ll meet
- Scene: what you build in the studio and publish. A scene loop plays it.
- Show: everything one scene plays, with all its frames, sources and data.
- Frame: one arrangement of layers. One frame is on air at a time.
- Layer: one thing in a frame, such as a video, text, an image or a shape.
- Source: anything with picture or sound: a file, a playlist, a web page or a live input. Each source shows as live or down.
- Table: rows of data from a sheet, a file or a feed, which layers can show.
- Control: a switch or value you set while the show runs, like a “Breaking news” toggle.
- Transition: how one frame gives way to the next.
- Publish: makes your edits the live version. Until you publish, edits are a draft nobody sees on air.
Create a scene loop
1
Start a new loop
On the Loops page, click New loop, enter a Loop name, and pick the Resolution and
Framerate.
2
Choose scene
Click Choose scene. If you pick 1440p or 4K, the scene streams at 1080p, the scene maximum.
3
Build it in the studio
The studio opens on your new show. See Build a scene.
Pricing
A scene loop pays the normal streaming rate plus a scene rendering charge. During the beta, scene rendering costs 30% less than the launch price. At the default beta price, a 1080p 30fps scene loop costs $20 for 30 days. See Billing.Next steps
