Online TV channel
Create your own TV channel
Turn your video library into a channel that plays around the clock on YouTube, Twitch, Kick and more. Tell Smart order which shows play at which time of day, in plain words. It runs in the cloud, so your computer can be off.
$1 for your first 7 days, then monthly unless you cancel in the trial.
From a folder of videos to a channel in three steps
- 01 /
Add your shows
Upload your episodes and films, or bring them in from a link, including Google Drive links. One playlist holds up to 1,000 videos.
- 02 /
Ask for the lineup
Open Smart order and say what plays when, by time of day and by weekday. You see the order before you apply it.
- 03 /
Go live where your viewers are
Connect YouTube, Twitch, Kick or any platform that gives you a stream key, up to 5 at once from one channel.
Why not a playout server or a computer that stays on?
All three can run a channel. Here is what each one asks of you.
| Streamloop | A playout server | A home computer with streaming software | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you set up | An account in your browser | The server, its software and its upkeep | The software, and a computer that never sleeps |
| When your computer is off | The channel keeps playing | The channel keeps playing on the server | The channel stops |
| Setting the lineup | Ask in plain words, check the preview, apply | Fill in a schedule in the playout software | Rearrange the playlist by hand |
| What you pay for | Only the time your channel is live | The software, the server and its hosting | The computer, its power and your internet upload |
Running a music or radio channel?
Put a looping video on the Video tab and your tracks on the Audio tab, and the tracks play over the video. Smart order works on the audio playlist too, so you can ask for things like:
- A station ID every 3 tracks
- Shuffle, but never the same track twice in a row
It keeps streaming while you sleep
If the stream stops, it restarts on its own. If one platform drops the connection, your other platforms stay live while that one reconnects, and the channel page shows where each one stands.
Good to know before you start
Viewers watch on the platforms
Streamloop sends your channel to YouTube, Twitch and the other platforms you connect. It does not give viewers a TV guide, a player for your website or TV apps.
A show starts when the last one ends
When a new time block begins, the video that is playing finishes first, so shows are never cut off at the hour. Breaks at an exact time, like the news at the top of every hour, are available on request: contact us to turn them on.
Want live segments on top?
Live Scenes adds live video, graphics and tickers on top of your shows, and access is granted within 24 hours.
What it costs
Streaming is billed by the minute, only while live: one 24/7 stream at 1080p is about $10 per 30 days. Start with a $1 trial week, which becomes a monthly plan unless you cancel, or top up and pay as you go.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need before I start a channel?+
Videos you have the right to stream, and an account on the platform where people will watch, such as a YouTube channel. For rights, music and finding your first viewers, read our guide on how to create an online TV channel.
Can weekdays and weekends have different shows?+
Yes. Smart order reads the weekday and the time of day in your channel's time zone, daylight saving included. Ask for something like "on Saturdays and Sundays, play the films all day".
Can I change the lineup while the channel is live?+
Yes. Ask Smart order for a new order and apply it. The channel switches at the next video, without a restart.
Where can people watch my channel?+
On the platforms you stream to: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, or any platform that gives you an RTMP stream key. Each extra platform adds $6 per 30 days at 1080p, only while live. See all prices.
How big can my library be?+
One playlist holds up to 1,000 videos. A playlist over 15 GiB needs large-playlist storage: the first 30 GiB is free, then it costs $0.35 per GiB each month while the channel is live.
Can I run more than one channel?+
Yes. Each channel is its own stream, with its own lineup and its own platforms.
Can I make money from my channel?+
Yes, through the platforms you stream to, for example with ads on a monetized YouTube channel. Streamloop takes no share of your platform earnings.
