What’s new in Streamloop

New features as they ship, newest first.

  1. Live Scenes, in private beta

Scenes are a new kind of loop. Instead of playing videos one after another, a scene loop plays a live show you design in the Streamloop studio, and Streamloop runs it in the cloud around the clock, with no OBS and no PC left on.

    • Put playlists, live camera or encoder feeds (RTMP, SRT, RTSP, HLS), web pages, text, logos and clocks on one canvas.
    • Show live data from Google Sheets, CSV or JSON feeds.
    • Build several frames, such as “Starting soon” and “Be right back”, and switch between them by hand or on a schedule.
    • Ask the studio’s AI assistant to build or change the show for you.

To try it, create a loop and choose Request early access under Scene. See Live Scenes and the Scenes guide.

  2. Multistream: one loop, up to 5 destinations

A loop can now stream to up to five destinations at the same time, for example your YouTube channel, Twitch and Kick. Streamloop encodes the stream once and sends the same picture and sound to each one.

    • Add destinations in the loop’s General tab with Add destination while the loop is stopped.
    • Each destination shows its own status, and the loop sums it up, for example “2 of 3 destinations live”.
    • While the loop is live, Stop sending takes one destination off the air. The others keep streaming.
    • If a platform refuses the stream for good, for example because of a wrong stream key, only that destination turns off, and its row says what to fix.

The first destination is included in the streaming rate. Each extra one adds a flat fee, which the loop’s costs show before you start. See the multistream guide.

  3. Smart order on audio playlists

Smart order now works on a loop’s audio playlist too. Ask for something like “shuffle the songs and play the station jingle every three or four tracks”, then apply it the same way you would on video.

A loop uses one smart order at a time, on either its video or its audio playlist. When an order can’t be applied, the dashboard now tells you why and what to do next. See Smart order.

  4. Media library

The new Library page, in the top navigation, holds every video and audio file uploaded to your workspace.

    • Search by name, and filter by file type and by whether a file is used in a loop.
    • Preview any file and see which loops use it.
    • Rename files, or remove the ones you no longer need. A file that a loop uses can’t be removed.
    • Click Upload files, or drop files anywhere on the page.
    • Press ? to see the keyboard shortcuts.

To use a library file in a loop, open the loop’s Playlist tab and click From library. See Library.

  5. Tax invoices as PDF

You can now download any paid invoice as a tax invoice PDF. On the Billing page, open the menu on an invoice and choose Invoice (PDF). The card receipt is still there, under Receipt.

To put your company on the invoice, open Edit billing details and add your company name, tax ID and address. They appear on every invoice PDF you download, including past invoices.

  6. Smart order is now a chat

You now build a smart order in a conversation. The assistant replies as it works, asks when something is unclear, and shows a preview of the order before anything changes on your loop.

    • Apply this order applies exactly the version you previewed.
    • Your chats and orders are saved in the workspace under Your saved orders, so you can come back to them later.
    • Orders can follow your local time of day, for example “play the morning clips before noon”.

    See Smart order.

  7. Repeating schedules

A scheduled loop can now run again and again. In the loop’s schedule, set Recurrence to Daily, or to Weekly on the days you pick. Days and times are in your own time zone.

    • The loop shows when its next run starts, and the loops list shows how it repeats.
    • Stop for today ends the current run and keeps the next one scheduled.
    • A repeating schedule needs an end time, and each run must be shorter than 24 hours.

See Build and schedule your playlist.

  8. Card payments without leaving Streamloop

Adding a card and starting the $1 trial now happen in a card form inside the dashboard, on one screen. If your bank asks you to confirm a payment, Streamloop takes you straight to that step.

Cards issued in India now work for automatic renewals: the e-mandate Indian banks require is registered during that confirmation.
