When to consider Streamloop instead of Live247
Live247 is narrowly optimized for YouTube stream keys. Its application supports looping MP4 video or MP3 audio playlists, midstream file replacement, scheduled activation or deactivation, 4K, 60 FPS, vertical video and 10-bit HDR.
Consider Streamloop when the destination may be a managed YouTube connection or another compatible RTMP service, or when video and separate audio playlists, broader documented upload formats and API or MCP control are part of the requirement. Streamloop still uses one destination per stream, so it should not be presented as fan-out.
Compare the complete billing model. Live247 charges per active stream-hour and includes 100 GB per stream before optional storage overage. Streamloop charges per live minute by output quality and also discloses a one-time charge for successful media conversion.

How does Live247 charge for streaming?
The current public application bundle prices streams at $0.0273 per active hour for 1080p and below and $0.0546 per active hour for 1440p and above. A continuously active 1080p stream is therefore approximately $19.94 over an average month before storage overage.
The application applies a bulk discount across multiple simultaneously active streams. That discount concerns separate billed streams, not one stream being copied to several platforms.
The same current bundle prompts eligible new users to redeem the NEWUSER coupon for one hour of free credit. That is promotional credit rather than a documented ongoing free plan.
Does Live247 stream anywhere besides YouTube?
No current official evidence supports other destinations. Live247's public FAQ says it supports only YouTube and requires a YouTube stream key without requesting direct access to the YouTube account.
A different YouTube stream key is recommended for each stream. Facebook, Twitch, Instagram and generic RTMP delivery should not be listed as current Live247 capabilities.
What storage does Live247 include?
The application advertises 100 GB of storage per stream. Its current billing code also contains optional paid storage priced at the equivalent of $15 per 100 GiB-month, prorated over time when upgraded storage is enabled.
Live247 warns that media attached to streams inactive for a long time may be deleted, but it does not publish a precise inactivity period on the public interface.
Can a Live247 playlist be changed while it is streaming?
Live247 advertises midstream file replacement and supports video or audio playlists with sequential or random play order. The interface also exposes future activation and deactivation scheduling.
Some broader stream-setting changes trigger a reboot from the beginning, so “editable while live” should be limited to the file and playlist behavior the application actually documents.
How many Live247 streams can one YouTube channel run?
Live247's FAQ uses “Unlimited! At least we think so” and says it has observed more than 100 on one channel. That is not a contractual account-level concurrency guarantee.
Each active stream is a separate YouTube-keyed job and is billed separately. YouTube's own channel rules and Live247's available capacity still apply.
